How much does it cost to remodel a Kitchen and/or Bathroom?
rich93mau asked:
I have a small bathroom (1950’s) say 12′ x 5′ and a Gally Kitchen 20′ x 6′. Can someone tell me roughly how much you have spent for your remodel? Either kitchen or Bath professionally done with contractor or desginer?

I did mine, myself and I spent probably 1500 on the bathroom, (complete gut out, but left tub and sink).
Now, a bathroom is gonna cost you about 5-10 grand with a designer or contractor.
Kitchen is gonna easily cost you starting from 10 grand, up to the sky is the limit!
If you have to replace all the appliances, well there is 5 grand. Cabinets and sink will run you another 3-6 grand installed. (thats not including if you want granite tops or some sort of stone work done, add another 3-5 grand possible. Island? 2 grand or less…
Now, that fancy scroll work is gonna really soak you some good cash, as well as all the fancy frills, such as wine racks, wine refridgerator and all the fancy smancy stuff that no one regularly has in thier kitchens.
It all depends on how far you want to go, what your dreams are, and what you are planning on doing?
Entertaining? You have to have the ‘BEST’ in all the latest equipment as everything will be scrutinized by the guest. And then you have to see to the “cooks comfort”
(never forget them who prepare the meals, its always critical, as to thier needs).
I wish you well..
