What are some cheap ways to remodel a bathroom?

Adnama asked:

We are remodeling the house over the next few months and, unfortunately, my bathroom is at the end of the list of things to do. I’m tired of looking at it in the state it’s in while I wait for everything else to happen. Are there any cheap ways I could temporarily spruce it up a little while I wait for my turn?

Go the hardware store ask them if they have some damaged cabinets they want to get rid of or a sink they are not selling just see what they have it could have a dent on it or a corner chipped.
Call a contractor and see if they have anything they don’t want and will sell cheap. Some paint stores will sell the paint they mixed for a customer and the customer did not either pick it up or like it . They call those “Mis-Tints” The dollare tree sells stick on floor tile. X-14 is great for taking off the mold just remember to close the doors and leave the room ,

It’s amazing what a fresh coat of paint will do. Add a new shower curtain, window curtains, towels and some rugs along with a couple of new accessories.

If the fixtures are dingy, try getting some Barkeeper’s Friend and giving them a good going over. The Barkeeper’s is a powdered cleanser that does wonders for removing rust, soap scum and just plain gunk. It does take a little elbow grease but works great!

Self stick floor tiles are not expensive and would update the flooring. Just be sure to follow the directions for installation.

    Good Luck!

Start a homeowners training school for home repairs, and once you have some paying students, get them to practice on your bathroom.

Get the newspaper to do a story on your desperate household, and let their readers know what would really make your life better was a remodeled bathroom.

Bring a homeless boarder into your home, but one who has remodeling skills between swigs off the bottle.

Well there are a lot of things you can do to update a bathroom. It really depends on how much money you have.

New toilet, sinks, vanity, mirrors, shower, tub, will be the most expensive and will also add the most value back to your bathroom.
